The Colorado Patriots organization is seeking volunteers to assist with fundraising efforts for 2020 and beyond. Colorado Patriots support the Folds of Honor Foundation, a national charity that provides educational scholarship money for military veteran families of a wounded or fallen warrior. Each scholarship has a $5,000 value. To date, nearly 25,000 scholarships have been awarded by the national Folds of Honor Foundation. Operating in Parker, Colorado and southeast Denver metro area since 2012, the Colorado Patriots have proudly provided 25 scholarships, totaling more than $125,000.
We are planning our fundraising mission for 2020. We are seeking people interested in volunteering their time for such a worthy cause. We are looking for people willing to do the following tasks: potentially join as Board member; solicit and meet with potential sponsors; raise awareness of events through advertising, media, and social media; make inquiries about item donations and collect when necessary; coordinate efforts on event days such as golf tournament or silent auction, etc. We are a 501(c)3 non-profit organization and all efforts are on a voluntary basis. We meet the first Tuesday of every month in addition to our outside efforts.
